Locals and visitors on Hawai‘i Island will soon be able to enjoy a new culinary market experience showcasing island-grown produce and local, value-added products at Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Queens’ Culinary Market debuts on June 13 and will take place every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the shopping center. The Queens’ Culinary Market will feature 20 local farmers and businesses, celebrating the rich culinary ingenuity of Hawai’i Island with a diverse selection of local products including fresh produce, flowers, meat, seafood, and value-added treats such as coffee, honey, and jams. At the Queens’ Culinary Market guests can look forward to: - A selection of farmers and vendors, including Apple’s Fiesta Fruit Cups, Big Island Smoked, Cocomon, Hawaiian Hotties, Kona Salt Farm, Misma Lani Farms, Spicy Ninja Sauce, Tess Garden, and much more. - Live entertainment by local musicians throughout the center, featuring performers like Scott Bucholz and Ryan Higgins. - A beer garden hosted by Waikoloa Shrimp Co. featuring local brews. - “Talk story” sessions where guests can interact with the market’s vendors or learn about, and support the work of, local nonprofit organizations.
