As a Real Estate Agent, this came about from my client monthly newsletters, which always included the local events on the island. When so many of my clients started reaching out to ask for reminders of the upcoming events, I realized I might have a good thing going. And with my family and friend network I end up knowing of just about every family event, beer garden, concert, and festival there is on the west side, and even a ton all over the island!
Realtors like myself would normally put their energy into sending out “Just Listed” or “Just Sold” postcards to neighborhoods, or spending big money to put their face into a newspaper or magazine to market themselves. But the thing is, when we break it down, our clients are our friends and family. And our friends families, and our families friends (does that make sense?!). The newspaper ads and postcards are usually a money pit, with little to no return on business. So why not put my energy into something fun, useful and something people can’t throw away, ha!
