The 4th Annual Hawaii Island Festival of Birds (HIFB) will be held October 24 to 28, 2019 at various venues. The date is ideal for the island’s forest birding experience while also taking advantage of the prolific pelagic season. The 2019 theme is “Wanderers and Migrants-Hawaii’s Unique Avian Visitors” and highlights the migratory and accidental avian visitors that arrive in Hawaii each year. New in 2019 will be added education and focus on Papahānaumokuākea National Marine Monument along with reception, film festival, guided birding excursions, a Bird Fair and gala.
